Holly came from a professional dance background and was introduced to Pilates as a way to strengthen her dancing and condition to prevent injury. Holly chose to train in STOTT PILATES® because it’s was well-known to be the most comprehensive, codified, and anatomically based method of Pilates available. In 2001, Holly began her studies at Equilibrium Studio in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan under Instructor Trainers Eva Powers and Amy Slowik-Kubo. This was one of the first STOTT PILATES® training centers in North America and represents STOTT PILATES® at its finest.

She continued to develop her advanced credentials and certifications working at many studios that represent Pilates at its finest. Over the years, Holly has worked with professional dancers, Olympic and weekend athletes, and individuals recovering from serious or chronic injuries accumulating hundreds of hours of teaching and experience to share with new teachers.
Today Holly is the founder and CEO of Blue Sparrow Pilates, a prestigious STOTT PILATES® training facility in the heart of San Francisco. Since its founding in 2007, Blue Sparrow Pilates has grown to attract the most dedicated and passionate teachers and students. Holly and Blue Sparrow Pilates are committed to long-term relationships with our students, teachers, and clients. Most of the studio’s clients and teachers have now been part of the Blue Sparrow Pilates community for years, demonstrating the commitment to not only growing its teachers but evolving as educators.

Blue Sparrow Pilates’s foundation in the STOTT PILATES® Method provides the most relevant research and current education methods to those interested in excelling in the field. As a teacher training center, Holly and her team are committed to continuing our philosophy of being a student-centered facility with high standards and customer satisfaction. We will support students in continuing their STOTT PILATES® education and provide them a place to practice, demonstrate, observe and share reflections on their studies and progress.
In 2011, Holly became a STOTT PILATES® Instructor Trainer as a way to continue to develop and mentor the future of the San Francisco Pilates community. Becoming an Instructor Trainer was a goal she worked on for the greater part of five years and she is one of less than twenty in the state of California.
