Our sessions utilize the spring-based Reformer, Stability Chair, Cadillac Table,  and Springboards, as well as BOSU stability trainers, balls, rollers, resistance bands, and much more. As your fitness evolves, so will our sessions, continuing to create new challenges and taking your body to the next level. With hundreds of challenging and safe exercises, we will encourage you and keep you flying high.

STOTT PILATES®

At Blue Sparrow Pilates we teach STOTT PILATES® which is a contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by the late Joesph Pilates. Co-founders Moira and Lindsay G. Merrithew, along with a team of physical therapists, sports medicine and fitness professionals, have spent more then two decades refining the STOTT PILATES® method of exercise and equipment. This resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science and spinal rehabilitation, making it one of the safest and most effective methods available. This clear and detailed approach forms the basis for STOTT PILATES® training and certification programs. Used by rehab and prenatal clients, athletes, celebrities, and everyone in between,

Pilates creates balance between strength and flexibility, develops a taller, more balanced posture, and releases muscular tension, all while toning the muscles for a healthy body and appearance. Pilates training is focused on form, effective breathing techniques, and complete development of the three abdominal muscle groups. Those who practice Pilates protect themselves from injury, develop long, lean muscles, and enjoy enhanced mobility in their daily lives. Whether your goal is gaining better mind-body awareness, rehabilitating from an injury, releasing tension and stress, or just getting a good workout, Pilates will help you achieve it. Pilates also complements other physical activities like cycling, running, climbing, swimming, team sports, dancing, and yoga by focusing on the commonly used muscle groups and then creating a workout to support, balance, and strengthen them.

GYROTONIC®

GYROTONIC® is expansive movement that facilitates energy and strength through spiraling, arching, and circling movement. It utilizes the body’s full range of movement, which will leave you feeling rejuvenated and resilient.

Based on movements from Kundalini yoga, swimming, dance, gymnastics, and tai chi, GYROTONIC® comprises fluid, rhythmic movements and precise breath patterning. It strengthens and mobilizes the spine and all of the joints, stimulates the nervous system, strengthens and lengthens the muscles, releases tension from the body, and provides cardiovascular stimulation. The practice develops overall fitness and promotes good health, as it effectively tones, strengthens, and stretches the body. GYROTONIC® draws together the principles of yoga and Pilates, and it is an excellent introduction to mind-body training.

TRX®

Founded and developed by U.S. Navy SEAL Randy Hetrick, the original TRX® Suspension Training® concept was born out of necessity. For years, Hetrick and his teammates searched for the most efficient ways to fit-in full workouts while away on missions. The result: a length of suspended parachute webbing known as the first TRX Suspension Trainer™.

Designed to safely build strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility, the system works with your own body weight to create the most individualized total-body workout possible.
