I love GYROKINESIS® ! I just finished a 9-day GYROKINESIS® course at San Francisco GYROTONIC® with Debra Rose[1]. I cannot say enough about how the work has changed me in a very short time. My joints feel more free, spongier. I feel more capable in my body, as though I could accomplish any task. I feel like a fossil that has come back to life.

GYROKINESIS® is performed with a simple mat and stool. And is just breath and your body. It’s completely internal work, meaning no external resistance or assistance from equipment. You’re basically learning how to expand your body from the inside, with arching, curling, sideways bending, and spiraling. Unless you’re a yogi, exercising without equipment may seem daunting at first. But if you stick with it, you will begin to feel like a piece of clay that can be molded and changed. You will feel your joints become less brittle. And overall you will have fewer aches and pains.With a little guidance from the GYROKINESIS® Trainers at Blue Sparrow Pilates, you can start doing GYROKINESIS® at home or on the beach this summer. All you need is a stool and a mat.
