First, I have to say I love the name of the Big Blue Stability Cushion. How’d they ever think of that? Ha ha! Seriously though, this is the first small piece of home equipment that I have been excited about in a long time.It is a great way to challenge my clients’ stabilizing muscles and it provides support for core training. You can have them perform any of your favorite supine abdominal exercises with lots of support for the lumbar spine (lower back). My favorite exercise on it is ab curls with 5 lb hand weights.The Big Blue Cushion provides endless options for balance training, such as standing on one foot, squats with one foot on the cushion, step ups, even kneeling positions. The options are limitless and the rewards are tremendous.
The best part is my clients and I think it is super fun! Everyone I have ever known or worked with has more success when their exercise is fun. The Big Blue Stability Cushion feels so much like play that time just flies by and before you know it, your workout is over.This prop is lightweight, small, and requires very little space to store.What more could you ask for in a home exercise prop?!?!
