CREATE SPACE FOR YOUR GROWTH
Continuing Education is a space to develop your skills, connect, & engage with other teachers.

STOTT PILATES® established a Continuing Education Credit (CEC) program to help instructors stay up to date, and to offer fitness professionals an opportunity to learn more about the STOTT PILATES® method. Staying current not only keeps you certified, it maintains the credibility of STOTT PILATES® certification and helps you be the best instructor you can be.

STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructors are required to obtain six hours (6 credits) of Merrithew Continuing Education Credits annually to maintain their certification. Workshop topics include:

  • Teaching skills and mastery
  • Prop specific workouts to build repertoire
  • Fascial Movement Training
  • Total Barre
  • Core Athletic Conditioning + Performance Training
  • Rehabilitation, such as osteoporosis, scoliosis, pre/post-natal

Due to challenges presented by COVID-19, Merrithew is offering complimentary deadline extensions for 2020 STOTT Pilates CECs. The extension is valid until May 31, 2021. Please contact Merrithew to request an extension (cecs@merrithew.com).

Practical Steps Every Client Should Know

  2. Dress appropriately: Wear comfortable, form-fitting workout clothing.
  3. Feel free to have a water bottle and towel accessible.

+  Can i do pilates if I have an injury?

The short answer is yes Pilates can help with recovery from many injuries. But for that to occur we first need to know about your injury so we may guide you towards the appropriate session. If you’re injured, we kindly request you speak with us before signing up for a class or session. We will guide you to an appropriate class and ensure you are working with an instructor who is trained to handle your specific injury. Depending on the severity of the injury, you may need to do private sessions to begin.
